  1. Instructions to run the Welcome CD if running Mac OS X:

  3. 1. Double-click the "Welcome-Mac" icon.
  4. 2. The Welcome CD should begin.

  7. If you are experiencing any difficulty running this CD using OS X, 
  8. try restarting into Mac OS 9.
  9.  
  10. 1. Go to the Apple menu.
  11. 2. Select "System Preferences."
  12. 3. Click "Startup Disk."
  13. 4. Click the small padlock in the lower left corner if locked
  14. and enter your username and password.
  15. 5. Click the Mac OS 9 System Folder icon.
  16. 6. Click the "Restart" button.
  17. 7. After your machine has restarted, double-click the "Welcome-Mac" icon.
  18. 8. The Welcome CD should begin.

  21. To go back to Mac OS X:
  22.  
  23. 1. Go to the Apple menu.
  24. 2. From "Control Panels" select "Startup Disk."
  25. 3. Click the small triangle next to your hard drive to show the available 
  26.    system folders.
  27. 4. Click the system folder icon for Mac OS X. (The name will be something 
  28.    like "Macintosh HD:System:Library:CoreServices" and under version it 
  29.    should say something like "Mac OS X 10.1.3").
  30. 5. Click the "Restart" button.
